Here's a letter Destination: Pacific received from
Gary after his return from Midway:Mike
and Kathy:
Wanted to drop you a note and let you know that I had
fantastic time on Midway. The remoteness of the Atoll combined with the wildlife, white
sand beaches and turquoise waters made for an excellent, not to be forgotten experience.
However, it was the fishing that brought me there and it was all I had hoped it would be
in terms of the catching! Captain Aaron proved to be quite adept and knowledgeable at
finding the fish and providing us with the opportunity to catch and release a myriad of
species. The Ulua action is quite simply spectacular and provides all the aching arms and
burnin' thumbs that I could desire. The All-Tackle, Hawaiian Grouper (record) was an
unexpected bonus that will provide me with bar stool bragging rights for years to come.
While we were unable to hook up with a Marlin, Captain Paul was able to fill the void with
plenty of Yellowfin and Wahoo action. The accommodations were comfortable, the staff
friendly, the food good and the beer cold. I have fished all over the world and this ranks
at the top in terms of the overall experience. Thank you and I look forward to visiting
again.
