M.V.
Salmon Seeker
| This 180 foot ship-turned-hotel is billed as
the last frontier in Salmon fishing. 28 guests per trip will enjoy cozy, comfortable
stateroom accommodations, an on-board hot tub, and fabulous gourmet food rivaling the
great restaurants of the world. In fact, the service and accommodations are so spectacular
on the MV Salmon Seeker that guests will often forget they are in one of the most remote,
pristine places in all of North America; Kano Inlet of the Queen Charlotte Islands. |
 |
| Anglers can gather in the large, comfortable
lounge after a day of fish story-gathering, or step up on deck to gaze at the stars
filling an otherwise black sky. Those so inclined can even arrange for a secluded
beachside barbecue on shore to share a special moment. Theres virtually no limit on
the options and accordingly, many weeks of the May through September season book out
early. Oh, and the fishing is fabulous. |

|
All fishing is guided on the Salmon Seeker.
Because the Kano Inlet is on the West Coast of the Queen Charlottes, open ocean
ground swells are common, and while safety isnt really at risk, anglers should not
expect perfectly flat conditions. Two anglers per guide will enjoy their days on a 20-foot
Boston Whaler Outrage, complete with 150 HP main motor and a 15 HP troller. The boats are
equipped with downriggers, VHF radios and sounders, and are perfectly suited for both
Salmon and Halibut fishing. |
| The fishing for both Salmon and Halibut is
outstanding, with many guests limiting on their Salmon take counts early in the trip, and
catches of over 100 pounds for the bottom-dwelling flatfish are common. A 305 pounder is
the current Salmon Seeker record, so anglers looking for their chance at lifting one of
these immensely strong creatures should be prepared for quite a battle. Unbelievable fishing, scenery, companionship, and encounters with
natures best juxtaposed with the pleasant civility of gourmet food served in luxury
accommodations sums up your experience on the Salmon Seeker. What fishing vacation could
be better? |
